In the Roman Empire, people recognized and worshiped multiple gods and goddesses. Ancient Romans believed these deities served a role in the founding of Roman civilization and helped shape the events of people’s lives on a daily basis. In this conversation, Jade Bajeot, an archeologist based in Rome, will explore the lives and adventures of the Roman gods and goddesses, many of whom are well known today—Apollo, Hercules, and Venus. You will travel to several of the elaborate temples built in their honor all over the Roman Empire and have plenty of time for questions.
