“Award-winning country songwriter Luke Dick spent his childhood living in The Red Dog, the rowdiest and most popular strip club in Oklahoma City during the 1970’s oil boom. For five years, it was the place that Luke and his mother called home. As a single, dope-addicted teenage runaway, his mom used a fake I.D. and turned to stripping to make ends meet. He grew up amidst the drugs, the danger, and the never-ending party. Now 30 years later, Luke has a toddler and a newborn of his own. As he began asking his mom questions about his own childhood, she was much more hilariously forthcoming than he ever imagined.” -SXSW
