OKCMOA is proud to host the 26th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival! This year’s ten finalists (shown at every screening) are viewed simultaneously across the world, with the Best Film and Best Actor awards determined by ballots cast by the audiences in each participating venue. By virtue of their selection by Manhattan Short, each finalist will be qualified for the Academy Awards.
The 10 Manhattan Short finalists hail from eight countries with films from Australia, Afghanistan, Finland, Iran, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and Canada alongside three short films from the USA.
This riveting Manhattan Short 2023 line-up is linked by a common theme: how we face adversity, whether it is imposed by others or arises from personal circumstances. The Final Ten short film selections feature narratives that are dramatic, sometimes humorous, occasionally magical and always inspirational!
The 2023 Manhattan Short Final Ten are:
Sunless (USA), Voice Activated (Australia), Yellow (Afghanistan), Tuulikki (Finland), The Family Circus (USA), Career Day (USA), Snail (Iran), The Record (Switzerland), The Stupid Boy (UK), Soleil De Nuit (Canada).
