Armed with her broomstick and her loyal cat Jiji, thirteen-year-old Kiki leaves home to begin her new life as a witch in training.  Arriving in a picturesque port city, Kiki befriends a baker’s wife who helps her establish a high-flying delivery business and sees her through a series of adventures and challenges.  One of Miyazaki’s most beloved films, Kiki puts a Ghibli spin on the classic coming-of-age story, presenting a fresh, yet timeless, fable that teaches ingenuity, resilience, and the value of self-knowledge.  Viewers of all ages will be captivated by the film’s vivid, immersive seaside setting.  From the richly ornate architecture and décor to the mouthwatering treats on display at the bakery, Miyazaki, as ever, displays a meticulous devotion to his craft and a remarkable sensitivity to the rhythms of everyday life.
