Tulsa native Alfre Woodard is being honored as an Oklahoma Film ICON by the deadCenter Film Festival on Saturday, June 9, 5:30pm, at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.
Alfre Woodard is the most honored Oklahoma actress in history. She has won four Primetime Emmy Awards from 18 nominations, one Golden Globe, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and one Oscar nomination. The Emmy Awards were given for her performances in Hill Street Blues in 1984, LA Law in 1987, Miss Evers Boys in 1997, and The Practice in 2003.
At the deadCenter event, Ms. Woodard will discuss her favorite film and television roles with Brandy McDonnell, Features Entertainment Reporter for The Oklahoman and NewsOK.
