This August, Museum Films is proud to showcase a stunning set of newly restored modern classics from Akira Kurosawa’s epic masterpiece Seven Samurai and Alfred Hitchcock’s electrifying thriller Frenzy to Shinji Sômai’s rarely seen coming-of-age gem Moving and Tom Tykwer’s art-house blockbuster Run Lola Run. Our annual Awards Season Preview begins this month with early Best Documentary Feature frontrunner Sugarcane, and our ongoing Edith Head series celebrates the iconic costume designer’s historic Oscar legacy, from lush period drama The Heiress through rollicking crime caper The Sting. Our August lineup also features Eduardo Williams’ dazzling experimental feature The Human Surge 3, the fascinating art documentary Taking Venice, Agnieszka Holland’s searing Venice Film Festival award winner Green Border, and the return of OKCMOA audience favorite CatVideoFest.
