The final day to see “Isabelle de Borchgrave: Fashioning Art from Paper” is September 9! As the exclusive regional venue for this exhibition, it’s been wonderful welcoming thousands to the Museum to see the intricate paper fashion of contemporary Belgian artist, Isabelle de Borchgrave. The exhibition features 78 life-size, trompe l’œil paper costumes and encompasses over 500 years of fashion history. Buy your tickets today!

Three years ago, President and CEO E. Michael Whittington and his colleagues convened at the Brussels studio of Isabelle de Borchgrave to begin planning for this exhibition and national tour. Join Whittington on an after-hours, private tour as he shares his insights on de Borchgrave’s artistry and how this spectacular exhibition was organized. The tour includes behind-the-scenes access, a special gift from the Museum Store and a glass of wine at the conclusion of the tour. $85 per ticket | Pre-registration required.

Celebrate art, dance and live music while enjoying fabulous food and beverages at OKCMOA during this month’s Third Thursday: Raise the Barre. Raise the Barre will showcase a world premiere by the Oklahoma City Ballet. Each performance will feature original choreography inspired by the themes of Isabelle de Borchgrave’s “Fashioning Art from Paper.” Visitors will have a unique experience as they walk through the galleries encountering dancers along the way. Tickets to the ballet performances are limited. Performances begin at 6, 7 and 8 pm. Additionally, there will be a special menu in the Museum Cafe and live jazz from Brian Gorrell & Jazz Company, cash bar and sliders for purchase from the grill on the Roof Terrace.

OKCMOA is proud to offer free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve, through September 2. The Blue Star Museums Program gives free admission to the military ID holder and up to five family members per visit from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
