Columbia philosophy professor Walter Zarrow (Sam Waterston, Law & Order) is violently mugged after purchasing flowers for his wife, Marcia (Glenn Close, Fatal Attraction), at a corner New York City deli. This 2015 deadCENTER hit then flashes back to explore the complicated lives of those who will be brought together by this tragic act of violence: joining the nurturing academic and his loving wife are their middle-aged son, daughter-in-law, and pot-smoking grandchildren; an emotionally estranged suburban couple; a drug addict and his successful attorney friend; and a self-destructive college co-ed. Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga), Corey Stoll (House of Cards), and Michael Kenneth Williams (The Wire’s Omar Little) headline a talented cast in this latest Tribeca premiere from Tulsa writer-director-actor Tim Blake Nelson (Leaves of Grass).
