Please join us for an evening examining the photography, video art, and films of Abbas Kiarostami, co-hosted by the Moderns and Film Society. Moderns and Film Society members (including Fellow, Friend, and Sustainer membership levels) are invited to an exclusive guided tour of the original exhibition Kiarostami: Beyond the Frame, reception, and screening of four of Kiarostami’s most iconic short films with special introduction and discussion following the films.
6-7:30 pm – Exclusive Tour and Reception:
Join us at 6 pm for exclusive tours of Kiarostami: Beyond the Frame led by exhibition co-curators Michael J. Anderson, PhD, OKCMOA President and CEO, and Lisa K. Broad, PhD, OKCMOA Head of Film Programming and Theatrical Operations. Immediately following the tours, gather in the Museum Lobby for a reception before attending the 7:30 pm Short Film Program with special introduction and discussion.
This portion of the evening is free and exclusive for Moderns and Film Society members and includes a guided exhibition tour, Persian-inspired hors d’oeuvres, and a drink ticket. Pre-registration required; capacity is limited.
7:30-9 pm – Short Film Program:
Complete the evening in the Noble Theater with a screening and discussion of four of Kiarostami’s most iconic short films:
