Welcome to the Oklahoma City Museum of Art

See the grandeur of Rome and the magnificence of the Louvre in Oklahoma City! The Oklahoma City Museum of Art is the third and final venue for Roman Art from the Louvre. Organized by the American Federation of Arts and the Musée du Louvre, this monumental exhibition features 184 examples of ancient Roman art and artifacts, including life-size sculptures, sarcophagi, jewelry, mosaics, and more.

Please note: NO PHOTOGRAPHY IS ALLOWED IN THE ROMAN ART EXHIBITION.

The Museum does permit photography of our permanent collection, with no tripods and no flash, with the exception of the Chihuly glass.  The Museum does not make the decision on photography of special exhibitions, such as Roman Art from the Louvre.  Those decisions are made by the lender, which is the Musee du Louvre.  The Oklahoma City Museum of Art cannot control nor take exhibitions based on whether or not the art can be photographed.  There is an amazing catalogue on the exhibition that can be purchased in the Museum Store, which contains color photography of all the works in the exhibition. Thank you for your understanding.
