The art is magnificent but the descriptive plaques are almost impossible to read for older people with failing eyesight, especially those mounted on dark walls. Generally, the art is reasonable well lit but the descriptions are not. Not everyone is willing to listen to the audios that are available.

I just returned from Paris and the Louvre to discover antiquities in my own backyard, thank you! Powerful and magnificant art! The exhibit adds so much culture to our community. The lighting, color on the walls and the arrangement of the exhibit is so impressive. Congratulations to a wonderful opportunity for Americans to explore and learn from these objects of the Louvre!
